Outdoor Education & Archery Instructor 2020


“Camp Monahan, of the Archdiocese of Regina, provides a Christian camping experience for youth ages 6 to 15 with opportunities for social, physical, intellectual, creative, and spiritual growth.”

Camp Monahan is seeking camp counselors, 16 years of age or older as of May 31st, 2020. All staff will be responsible to care for, guide, and mentor children ages 6 to 15 through our summer camps. Programs include swimming, chapel, outdoor exploration, arts and crafts, archery, and canoeing. Camps are from July 5th – Aug. 7th. Mandatory training week is June 28th – July 3 rd . Staff are also required to help at camp shutdown days, Aug. 8th & 9 th. All staff will participate in reflection and ongoing evaluation with the Camp Director and board members.

Leadership and Care:

→ Be able to model Christian faith-based values to best ensure holistic care of campers and staff

→ Prior to Camp you must submit a program plan

→ Responsible for delivering a well organized program to provide a creative experience for children to learn about skills related to the outdoor camping, as well as the nature that surrounds us at Camp Monahan

→ Teaching archery skills and safety

→ Participate fully in all camp activities, and carry out assigned responsibilities with care and diligence

→ Maintain a safe and respectful environment for campers at all times

→ Maintain open lines of communication with the Camp Director

→ Attend and participates fully in staff training and daily meetings


→ Respectfully participate in all faith based activities

→ Be able to provide a clean vulnerable sector criminal record check

→ Live onsite during training week, summer camps, and clean-up days

→ Excellent interpersonal, organization, and leadership skills


→ Proactive and organized

→ Critical thinking and problem solving

→ Work independently, and with a team

→ Follow directions in a timely and professional manner

A criminal record check and up to date certificates are required of all successful applicants. This person must adhere to Camp policy and be a positive role model at all times.
