For Ages 13 - 16

Junior Challenge (Ages 13 - 14)

Junior Challenge is three night, 30 kilometre hiking trip around Katepwa Lake in the Qu'Appelle Valley. Campers will gain leadership skills as they learn to backpack, cook outdoors and tent. Junior Challenge campers must be 13 years old by December 31, 2018.

Notes about registration:

  • For registration, please remember that you will have to complete a separate registration for each child and for each camp (if your child is attending more than one camp, you will need to complete the registration and payment separately).
  • There is a surcharge for completing the registration online.
  • You are able to print a receipt for your camping fees once prompted to the payment area (Paypal) and you complete the payment transaction.

Senior Challenge (Ages 14-15)

Senior Challenge is a ten day, co-ed program that begins with preparation for the canoe trip through the Qu’Appelle Valley. During the trip campers learn to pitch a tent, build shelter, cook over an open fire, all while developing new friendships and a sense of accomplishment. Senior Challenge campers must be 14 years old by December 31, 2018.

Counsellor in Training (C.I.T) (Ages 15 - 16)

Focusing on self-confidence and personal growth, our twelve day, co-ed Counsellor-In-Training program teaches leadership and camping skills. Providing all requirements are met, the goal is for campers to return as volunteers or staff members. Requirements for the CIT Program:

  • Must be 15 years old by December 31, 2018
  • Provide a written explanation outlining “Why do I want to take part in the CIT program?”
  • Letter of reference
  • Experience with Junior and Senior Challenge (highly recommended )
